From 1929 to 1933, Leo Trotski lived on Prinkipo (today Buyukada), an island off Istanbul. The photographs document the current state of his house, a beautiful villa on the sea shore, today derelict. 72 years have passed between Trotski's departure and the photographs, as well as between the October revolution and the fall of the iron curtain.
